Kirsty Peterson

Functional Soft Tissue Therapy

Born in Zimbabwe, Kirsty has a reputation of being a bit of a globetrotter; having travelled and lived abroad in various countries over the years. She moved to Perth to study OT at Curtin University, graduating with honours in 2015. Perth has been home for Kirsty since then and with her husband and their young daughter, she has recently put roots down as a Manning local and is loving the sense of community.

Kirsty has experience in the areas of physical therapy, rehabilitation post injury, pain management, hand therapy, geriatrics and counselling. With a background competing in gymnastics, swimming and soccer, she knows firsthand the benefits of soft tissue treatments in maintaining a healthy, optimally functioning body.  Kirsty’s other areas of interest include:

  • Engaging with people, hearing their stories and journeying with them through real life.
  • Taking a holistic approach to wellbeing (exploring how small changes to one’s nutrition, diet, supplements, systemic health, and lifestyle can produce better physical, mental and emotional health outcomes).
  • Supporting soon-to-be and new mums with caring for their ever changing bodies, and providing them with the TLC, nutrients and treatments required to adjust to all the new demands placed on them, physically and emotionally.
  • Working with athletes to keep them doing the sports they love.
